The way Chrome saves your passwords depends on whether you want to store and use them across devices. When you're signed in to Chrome, you can save your passwords to your Google Account.
Take a look at passwords.google.com and see if it is on that list. Only the latest passwords are saved and only if you are signed in to your Google Account. You can check the list on your local computer by looking in the Settings list that I gave you above.
